Prairie River Camp (PRC) has a rich history of relational discipleship. We invest time into relationships with individuals who are seeking a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. That time turns into strong, independent, motivated young men and women who continue on in leading with their godliness in lifestyle, devotion to the Word of God and prayer, passion for sharing the love of Christ, and commitment to social involvement. The investment we make sticks, stays and strives for the best God has to offer.
Why do we do this? Discipleship is one of the longest lasting ways of raising up leaders in younger generations. It is our desire to see every child have an opportunity to become the man or woman that God desires them to be, thus as we look at them holistically, through their story, prayer, challenges, quiet times, etc.
What do we need? Well, we need at least a five (5) day commitment to truly see life change take place in a student’s life. You can come and stay with them, come drop them off and visit once or twice as you desire, or they can drive themselves and stay for the time.
You can also stay for the whole month we host camps (June 20th- July 10th). There are times when nothing will be happening at PRC, those times are open for mini-trips, treks back home, relaxing, or exciting new adventures. So we only need your student, their bedding, their clothing and their time.
How do we know it works? We have had several students that have been discipled at PRC. Some have a deep connection and have been back for several years, others have only been at camp for a month. No matter how long their time at camp, we have never had a student say they regret their time there, but more importantly, we have never had a parent tell us that their child is worse off for having been there, but rather they tell us that their child is different, more confident, more polite, more aware of others. We want to share that change with your students as they negotiate the paths of their adolescence so they can become that man or woman God truly desires them to be.
We have camps the following dates:
Middle School 1: June 18-22
Elementary School: June 26-28
Middle School 2: July 6-10
We have openings at all camp weeks. High school age students and older only please.
